‘This autumn is ‘sabotaging’ me! It doesn’t give me the urge to leave the house and go to the gym!’, told me one of my friends these days. What I told her is that the depression that she feels when the weather is gloomy is due to the lack of physical activity. Here are some alternatives that can motivate you in exercising.

When you were a kid you were riding the bike and you loved it. Rediscover the benefits of this type of exercise every time you get the chance. This type of movement is extremely benefic for the health of your heart and for your physical condition especially if you ride the bike for 45 minutes per day. You are almost sure to lose up to 2000 calories by performing this type of exercise.

Another thing that you can do to maintain your body fit and your health good, is to replace the elevator with walking. If you have an elevator in your block of flats, then try not to use it so much and choose walking. This activity is extremely good for your muscles and for your health.

If you don’t have the drive to go to a fitness gym, but you enjoy outdoor activities, what could be better than climbing the mountains? This is the perfect activity for those of you who love nature and who enjoy walks and traveling. If you do not have the necessary time to go climbing a mountain, then you can choose a specialized gym that has structures that resemble the texture and the curbs of mountain slopes. Or you can also choose other activities that can replace fitness or a professional gym, such activities as cleaning around the house, swimming, or other exercises that motivate you.
